Jason Ross
Jason Ross is a musical mixture. Ask him what kind of music he plays and he'll tell you "Prairiegrass", a term of his own design. It's Country, it's Folk, it's Bluegrass, and it isn't any one of them. The first song he learned to sing when he was six was "Pasties & a G-String" by Tom Waits and it would be difficult to say this didn't have some influence on him. He's been everything from a cab driver to featuring in adult films, lived everywhere from Toronto to the backwoods of the Alaska panhandle, and his songs represent everything from his success at divorce, his failures at drinking, and his absolute loathing of hand drums at folk festivals. In short, Jason is truly a representative of what it's like being a "Sensitive New-Age Redneck"
