Renagde Ya its spelled R-E-N-A-G-D-E, there's no vowel between the G and D. I dont know how it's supposed to be pronounced. I think of it as more of a symbol then a word. In the beginning we were sitting around Chad's apartment laundry room writing the dumbest songs we could think of. A little while later I thought of putting them to tape. Born was version 1 of FUIS. Friends were like 'wow.... you need help'. And so ended the first chapter of Renagde. Over the next year it began to include a film club, The Lost Soles made a few amature vids, showed them around town. Music was more a background thing. As an offshoot of that experience Renagde the band became Renagde Terror - the visual artist beginning in 2003 with the making of a moody cartoon "A Cage In 2" and its sound-track the song "Breathe". A few other others such as 'Enter' were completed, many more uncompleted. After that began a year of music 'tinkering' with the old punk songs of ours this came to be version 2 F.U.I.S. followed by some new songs called the "Show Your Blood" demos both were briefly available online and at Itunes. These years had some mini-shows, most notably at The Pyramid with Chad, and a lot of random solo acoustic performances at various places across Winnipeg. During this time the punk songs began to evolve into a weird hybrid folk-metal-punk-mood-cheese-jussdonno style. In early 2006 Curtis joined as a bass player, but would only do so with the 'blessing' of his spiritual advisors. So they did their meditation thing to see what the spirits thought and they said it would be a good thing but the name had to be just Renagde. Some live jams were performed with session drummer Scott Druming and last winter saw the release of a real actual CD called "Wreathe". It began as a Christmas CD, but we ditched the carols and instead made it a 'winter' themed thing. "RISE" animated cartoon video for the song from "Wreathe", see it on our website.
