More words by Tim Jackson...

August 26, 2008...

At the last Sounding Board © open mic, I asked the poets who were in attendance if they wanted me to post some of their work on my website. Tim was eager and so here's one of his pieces...

The Divine O ©.

Live in front of all.
A new prophet has arisen.
A commercial prophet for a commercial
profit ka-ching!

Millions have watched as this
prophet defied all religious structures
in order to give freedom of all kinds
to all women.

At this same time commerce in her name
bloomed and exploded in a grand
financial empire with but a single
letter as a brand name.
the letter "O".

Magazines have her graven image
on their covers.
Her "recommended" books have become
but gospels to their ever-expanding bible.
Her one store is but a humble temple
of merchandise and commerce, each item
bearing the sacred letter.

She has her own book,
though it should not be confused
with "The Story of O", the disturbing
sadomasochistic classic.
Yet, this prophet has suffered similar
in nature.

Using television as her Church to
broadcast her gospels to the masses
"to help bring about a change in consciousness
in everybody".

She is all but a mother.
God help us if she becomes one.
Her daughter might not be able
to handle the pressure of
being the daughter to the prophet
Oprah.

Daytime television is becoming occult
with daily sabbaticals and charitable
donations. She even tried to put a
school in South Africa.

Oprah has become a figure of duality
having switched to Obama from
Hillary in midstream hoping for a
black President more than a woman
in the Oval Office.

She probably took a few notes from
Canada. We had a woman for a Prime
Minister and look what happened:
What did happen? Nothing! Nothing happened.
She wasn't taken seriously and was
voted out giving way to a Liberal
dictatorship.

Take a look at England when
Margaret Thatcher was Prime Minister.
Need I say more? There's a reason
for her title the "Iron Lady".
they couldn't call her the "Iron Maiden".

Oprah as a woman amassed her power
quietly, charming the nation
with inspiring stories.

What is not mentioned yet will be
her ascension into goddess hood.
She already is worshipped
as a female Christ figure
ready to be martyred for her cause.

Just look out for her arch rival
Dr. Phil and his numbered keys.
He will lead you away from Oprah's
heavenly light in the name of independence
and psychology.

In a post, all of the country gripped in
fear of the nuclear J.W. Bush
looking to bomb another country.
Oprah is our celestial in the
Ivory Tower that has become
the lighthouse beacon of hope.

Millions of people sharing the same
delusion can't be wrong!
God save our new found queen
and lead us all into her commercial glory.

All praise Oprah our lady and saviour.

Ah men!
